Speech Language Pathologist, Certified Autism Specialist
Allison L. Kane is a licensed pediatric speech language pathologist and the owner of Tri-County Therapy. Allison received her undergraduate degree from Columbia College in Speech-Language Pathology. She received her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of South Carolina. Allison is a certified member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), the South Carolina Speech and Hearing Association (SCSHA) and is licensed within the state of South Carolina.
Allison has a particular interest and specialty in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Through extensive training and research, she has received credentials for becoming an IBCCES Certified Autism Specialist. In addition to holding a professional interest in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Allison has two children on the Autism Spectrum. Allison loves working with families and offering compassion, guidance, and expertise to help each child become successful. Allison has always been a huge advocate for early intervention, and she has seen first-hand the effects that early detection, therapy and intervention have played in her children’s lives.
In addition to continuing education in Autism, Allison has completed coursework in MNRI® (Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration- MNRI® Method)- Dynamic and Postural Reflex Pattern Integration, which has allowed her to provide additional assessment and integration of motor reflex patterns as they relate to speech and language development. Allison has also completed Krisi Brackett’s CAN EAT course, which provides a medical, motor, behavioral approach to feeding disorders in children.
Allison and her team have a reputation for being passionate and for providing effective therapy for a variety of children with neurological and developmental delays. In her spare time, Allison enjoys spending time with her family: her husband, Chris, and their two sons, Brandon & Dylan. Allison and Chris are welcoming a third boy, Logan, in July, 2017. Allison also enjoys exercising and playing soccer.
