Occupational Therapist, Clinical Director
Amy is an Occupational Therapist and is Board Certified in Pediatrics by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Amy serves as Tri-County Therapy’s Director of Therapy. Amy grew up in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, where she served as treasurer for the Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA). She earned her Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College in 2012.
Amy’s primary focus over the course of her career has been providing pediatric intervention in the school setting, in addition to early intervention and home health. Her continuing education has emphasized training on sensory integration and autism. Amy has been an annual guest lecturer at St. Francis University, Pennsylvania on topics such as school-based therapy services, psychosocial occupational therapy in schools, the development of fine motor and hand skills, and introduction to sensory integration. She presented on the topic of autism and classroom intervention at the National Autism Conference in 2003 held in State College, PA. Amy is currently a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Amy has completed coursework in MNRI® (Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration- MNRI® Method)- Dynamic and Postural Reflex Pattern Integration, which has allowed her to provide additional assessment and integration of motor reflex patterns. Amy also completed training in the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, in addition to Krisi Brackett’s CAN EAT course, which provides a medical, motor, behavioral approach to feeding disorders in children.
Amy and her family are transplants from Pennsylvania and have enjoyed getting to know the Charleston area, spending time at the beach, and enjoying southern living.
