Acorn Matching Game
The Acorn Matching Game is great for development in all areas!
Articulation/Speech: Each acorn has a different initial sound/object inside. Practice target sounds within play!
Language: Name objects within acorns, incorporate into pretend play, and work on concepts such as ‘open, close’, as well as following directions.
Pragmatics: Turn-taking and joint attention
Fine Motor/Visual Motor: Kids will work their bilateral and grasping skills to open the tops of the acorns. Further develop fine motor skill by using tongs to pick up the small objects inside the acorns.
Sensory: The durable plastic material of this toy makes it possible to use with water, sand, shaving cream, or any other sensory material! Children will love digging through a sensory bin to find each small figure before matching the object to the corresponding letter acorn.
Gross Motor: These acorns are great for obstacle courses, walking up/down stairs to match the color to the object, crossing midline while seating on therapy ball or straddling bolster or prone walk outs to retrieve object then match to acorn.
