Speech Language Pathologist
Alexandria “Allie” Annunziata is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist from Tewksbury, New Jersey. She graduated from Radford University in Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Allie graduated from Iona College in New York with a Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Allie currently holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and a state licensure in South Carolina.
Allie has worked with various populations and in a variety of settings, including K-5 elementary schools and outpatient clinics. She has clinical experience in the fields of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, fluency disorders, pediatric feeding disorders, autism spectrum disorder, apraxia of speech, Down syndrome, brain injuries, and hearing impairments. Allie enjoys using a multidisciplinary therapy approach to help children reach their fullest potential both inside and outside of the therapeutic setting.
Allie was a contributor to the publication Say it Again, Stan Phonological Awareness Training Kit (Dynamic Resources Publications) for which she developed lesson plans for speech-language pathologists to facilitate elementary school children in their growth with phonological awareness skills. Her lesson plans were aligned with Common Core Standards.
Allie is a PROMPT-Trained Speech Language Pathologist and has completed the Introduction to PROMPT Technique Workshop. The PROMPT technique involves using a tactile-kinesthetic approach that includes touch cues to a patient’s articulators (jaw, tongue, lips) to manually guide them through a targeted word, phrase or sentence.
Allie enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, and eating her way through Charleston in her free time.
