Physical Therapist
Elizabeth Shafer was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics from Clemson University in 2018 and then went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from South College in 2021.
Elizabeth’s mother was a Special Education teacher for 35 years and from a young age, she helped her mom in the classroom. She developed a passion for working with children and continued to foster her interest in pediatrics during physical therapy school. She completed a pediatric rotation which further influenced her passion for helping children and their families optimize movement and function. There she treated children with various orthopedic, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions. Additionally, she has experience in the inpatient clinical setting treating babies in the NICU.
Elizabeth seeks to help children achieve a lifetime of function and participation in activities they love. She enjoys working with families to empower them in the care of their children. In her free time, she enjoys trying new coffee shops, exercising with friends, finding new restaurants, and traveling the world.
