Speech Language Pathologist
Eve was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. She attended the University of South Carolina, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Communication Sciences and disorders. She remained at Carolina and earned her Master of Speech Pathology degree. She is a certified member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association as well as licensed in both Georgia and South Carolina.
She began her career at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, where she worked primarily with premature infants with an emphasis on dysphagia and feeding difficulties. While her focus has been the NICU population, Eve has worked with patients from birth to 18 years including various clinical diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum disorders, traumatic brain injury, complex cardiac defects, feeding aversion, and cleft lip and palate. Eve believes that the key to success in therapy is developing relationships with patients and their families in order to work as a team. She also believes that a positive attitude and a smile go a long way!
Eve is a PROMPT-Trained Speech Language Pathologist and has completed the Introduction to PROMPT Technique Workshop. The PROMPT technique involves using a tactile-kinesthetic approach that includes touch cues to a patient’s articulators (jaw, tongue, lips) to manually guide them through a targeted word, phrase or sentence.
In her free time, Eve enjoys spending time with her family and her fiancé, Ryan. She is her happiest when she is near the water, either on the beach or on the boat.
