Gladys “Sujey” Reyes, OTR/L
Sujey considers herself a Charleston native being raised in the Lowcountry since the age of 6 when she moved from her native country, Panama, located in Central America. Sujey graduated magna cum laude from Charleston Southern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology. She then went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in July 2019. Sujey is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the South Carolina Occupational Therapy Association. During her time at MUSC, Sujey participated in many volunteering opportunities including; Camp Hand to Hands where she developed therapeutic activities and implemented constraint induced movement therapy (CIMT) for children with acquired or congenital hemiplegia; CARES, a student- where she provided interpreter and occupational therapy services for individuals in English and in Spanish; and lastly her most adventurous experience being her trip to Uganda in 2018 where she provided therapy services in rural underserved villages. Sujey has always had an interest and passion for pediatric therapy since her days as an ABA therapist when she first discovered the world of Occupational Therapy. She is excited to be a part of the TCT team and is looking forward to serving the needs of English and Spanish speaking patients in the community.
During her free time, Sujey enjoys spending time with friends and also traveling, often going back to visit family in Panama.
