Speech Language Pathologist
Jessica is a Maryland native who has made Folly Beach home. She attended West Virginia University to earn a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. From there she went to North Carolina Central University where she earned a Master’s of Science degree in Communication Disorders before making her way further down the coast to Charleston, SC.
Jessica completed a clinical rotation in Beijing, China where she developed a knowledge for how speech, language and pragmatics can be evaluated and treated across cultures. She has experience working with children with expressive and receptive language delays, feeding issues, dysphasia, articulation disorders, TBI, Down’s syndrome, pragmatic difficulties, hearing loss and autism spectrum disorder. Jessica loves all children and especially enjoys gaining rapport with them and their families, as she believes therapy is a team effort for all involved in a child’s life.
Through various life experiences, Jessica always knew her purpose was to use her passion and benevolence to help others live life to their highest potential, and she is grateful to be able to implement those traits in her career as a speech-language pathologist with the Tri-County Therapy team every day!
