Physical Therapist
Kia earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. She developed a passion for pediatrics early in PT school and followed that passion by partaking in additional pediatric courses and electives. This drive continued after graduation and she has utilized continuing education courses to gain knowledge in kinesiotape applications, sensory processing disorders, methods for treating toe walking, and treatment techniques for torticollis. She has experience in a pediatric outpatient setting working with kiddos with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, torticollis, plagiocephaly, developmental delay, Fragile X, Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and genetic disorders.
Kia is originally from Greenville, SC and she relocated back to the Greenville/Anderson area with her husband, Rashad. In her free time, Kia loves to play soccer, go on hikes, cook, travel and try new desserts! She also enjoys creating a safe environment for children to express themselves and develop their gross motor skills through functional play.
