Occupational Therapist
Laura Stewart, OTR/L
Laura was born and raised in Tupelo, Ms. She graduated from the University of Mississippi, where she earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. She received a Master’s of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where she graduated with honors.
Laura began her career as an OT in Mississippi, working in an outpatient pediatric clinic for more than 3 years. During that time, she also served in the community at a Medical Day Health Center, for children with medically complex needs.
Laura enjoys working with children of all ages and diagnoses and strives to help each child reach their fullest potential. She has continuing education training in visual rehabilitation, dysgraphia, sensory intervention, and child-adult relationship enhancement. She has special interest in reflex integration, feeding, visual processing, and early intervention.
Laura recently moved to Charleston with her husband, Will, and their 3 year old son, Hardin. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and exploring all that Charleston has to offer.
