Lead Speech Language Pathologist
Lauren grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Science and Disorders with a minor in Linguistics from the University of Pittsburgh, and she went on to receive her Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Her clinical experience with the pediatric population includes working in both clinic and school settings. Diagnoses Lauren has worked with include children with articulation/phonological, mixed receptive/expressive language, fluency, apraxia, and pragmatic language disorders. Additionally, she has experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other various developmental delays.
Lauren is a PROMPT-Trained Speech Language Pathologist and has completed the Introduction to PROMPT Technique Workshop. The PROMPT technique involves using a tactile-kinesthetic approach that includes touch cues to a patient’s articulators (jaw, tongue, lips) to manually guide them through a targeted word, phrase or sentence.
In her spare time, Lauren enjoys cheering on her beloved Pittsburgh Penguins, traveling, and exploring beautiful Charleston!
