Snap Beads are great for development in all areas!
Articulation/Speech: The pop beads are great tokens to give a child as reinforcement within articulation activities. Have the child imitate various words and sounds and earn beads to make a string or long train.
Language: Your child can learn colors and counting with these manipulatives. Have your child request desired beads using 2-3 word sentences, as well as follow directions for positional concepts (put it on top, under, beside). Play a fun game and have the child follow multiple-step direction (put the red one by the door and the blue one in the chair).
Pragmatics: Turn-taking skills and joint attention.
Fine Motor/Visual Motor: Pop these beads together while working on grasp/release and bilateral coordination. Hand strength is increased as well!
Sensory: Feel the textures on these beads for tactile stimulation. Tap them together for auditory input as well as listen for the “pop” as they go together and come apart.
Gross Motor: A child can sit on a scooter board and move forwards by pulling with hamstrings while taking one pop bead and matching it at the other end of the hallway.
