Occupational Therapist
Susie grew up just outside of New York City. She graduated from Pratt Institute with have a BFA in art education and spent several years teaching elementary school art. Susie has three children and two dogs who keep her very busy. Susie’s eldest son has cerebral palsy – and that’s how she discovered her love of OT.
Susie graduated with honors from Mercy College in New York and received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. She began her occupational therapy career in NY and worked in private practice and as a school therapist. Susie loves working with children of all ages and strives to make each session meaningful for the child and his/her family. She enjoys using art and play to help children master their milestones. Susie has passion for assistive technology, augmentative communication, and fine motor development.
During her spare time Susie enjoys spending time outdoors with her three children and two dogs, Millie and Indy. She enjoys collecting sharks’ teeth and surfing with her children. Susie has traveled extensively and is interested in learning how occupational therapy is integrated into other cultures.
