Speech Language Pathologist
Juliana earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. She completed her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. Juliana has worked for Tri-County Therapy since 2015 serving preschools and early intervention patients throughout the Charleston area.
Juliana is an active member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association. She has worked previously as an early interventionist and in the home and clinic settings as a Speech Language Pathologist. Juliana has a particular interest in working with children with cognitive impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Juliana completed Krisi Brackett’s CAN EAT course, which provides a medical, motor, behavioral approach to feeding disorders in children.
Juliana is a PROMPT-Trained Speech Language Pathologist and has completed the Introduction to PROMPT Technique Workshop. The PROMPT technique involves using a tactile-kinesthetic approach that includes touch cues to a patient’s articulators (jaw, tongue, lips) to manually guide them through a targeted word, phrase or sentence.
In her spare time, Juliana enjoys running, boating and taking her two dogs around Charleston. Juliana and her husband are welcoming a sweet baby girl in early Fall, 2017.
