A developmental screening is a quick, 10–15 minute play-based check of your child’s skills in areas like communication, movement, play, and daily routines.
It helps identify whether your child is on track or may benefit from additional support.
Screenings are not a full evaluation and do not provide a diagnosis, but they are a helpful first step in understanding your child’s development.
If you would like your child to receive an in-person screening as well, please also complete the Developmental Screener Permission Form at the bottom of this page!
Recommended for children under 2
You know your child best—and you see what they can do every day. During brief screenings, children don’t always show their full range of skills.
For a more complete picture and immediate results with personalized recommendations, you’re welcome to complete a developmental check-in in addition to an in-person screening.
Please note: TCT does not monitor or maintain records of developmental check-in results.
A brief, in-person screening conducted at your child’s preschool or daycare by a member of our therapy team. Many schools schedule screenings for most students during the year, but we’re also happy to offer free developmental screenings anytime. Please complete the permission form below in order to receive an in-person developmental screening!
