Farm Animal play sets are great for development in all areas!
Speech/Articulation: Have your child repeat early developmental sounds that are repetitive, such as animal sounds ‘moo, neigh, quack, woof, meow, maa, baa, oink’
Language: Naming farm animal vocabulary, actions (have the farm animals jump, run, walk, sleep, etc.), colors, descriptive words (spots, stripes, etc), and more!
Social/Pragmatics: Work on turn taking skills, eye contact, requesting (more), etc.
Fine Motor:
Gross Motor: Have your child to pretend to ‘walk like a duck’, ‘jump like a frog’, etc. to work on gross motor movements.
Sensory: Wash your plastic farm animals in a chocolate pudding sensory bin, put them in a bin of corn kernels, make a kinetic sand bin, and more.
