Color Matching Eggs
Color Matching Eggs are great for development in all areas!
Articulation/Speech: The eggs and parts of eggs are great tokens to give a child as reinforcement within articulation activities. Have the child imitate various words and sounds and earn pieces of an egg to combine and fill the carton.
Language: Your child can learn colors, shapes, and counting with these fun matching eggs. Place them in various parts of your home to work on positional concepts (under the table, on the chair), and forming 2-4 word sentences by having your child make verbal requests for them.
Pragmatics: Turn-taking skills and joint attention.
Fine Motor/Visual Motor: These eggs help children gain bilateral coordination as they push them together and pull them apart. holding the tops of each egg works the intrinsic muscles in the hands to promote the palmar arches necessary for mature grasping patterns. Sensory: Get the vestibular system working with this fun idea: Place the eggs behind a therapy ball or small chair. Have the child lay backwards/upside down over the ball, pick up two matching egg pieces, and then sit back up to put them together and place the completed egg in the container at their feet.
Gross Motor: These color matching eggs are great for going up/down stairs (matching) while doing so, for use during an obstacle course, prone walk outs on a therapy ball or placing one part on your lap during crab walks and matching at the other end.
