Abigail Calise, SLP
Abigail earned her Bachelor’s degree in communication with a focus on Speech Pathology from St. Joseph’s University in Long Island, NY where she fell in love with the field. After her undergraduate studies, she went on to complete her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Columbia University in the city. Before moving to South Carolina and starting with TCT, Abigail was in a variety of school settings having the opportunity to work with medically fragile patients as well as many AAC (Alternative Augmentative Communication) users. She is passionate about working with children to make a positive impact in their lives, about advocating for patient’s needs, helping patients achieve their goals, and AAC. Abigail enjoys incorporating child-led play into therapy sessions, while also incorporating structured activities to use a patient’s interest while also challenging them to grow. When she is not at work, Abigail loves spending time with her husband Eric and their dog Toby. Abigail enjoys music, movies, video games, and art in her free time, and tolerates running with her husband to stay fit.
