Amy Elgin

Chief Operating Officer

Amy Elgin, MSOL, OTR/L, BCP

Amy serves as Tri-County Therapy’s Chief Operating Officer and is an Occupational Therapist, Board Certified in Pediatrics by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Amy grew up in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.  She earned her Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College in 2012.

Amy’s primary focus over the course of her career has been providing pediatric intervention in a variety of settings including school-based, early intervention, out-patient, and home health. Her continuing education has emphasized training in sensory integration and she had the honor of being invited to present on the topic of autism and classroom intervention at the National Autism Conference in 2003 held in State College, PA. Amy is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the South Carolina Occupational Therapy Association.

Amy has completed coursework in MNRI® (Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration- MNRI® Method)- Dynamic and Postural Reflex Pattern Integration, which has allowed her to provide additional assessment and integration of motor reflex patterns. Amy also completed training in the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, in addition to Krisi Brackett’s CAN EAT course, which provides a medical, motor, behavioral approach to feeding disorders in children.

Amy has also attended continuing education on Tongue Ties & Oral Motor Dysfunction, a course geared toward the understanding of poor tongue function associated with tethered oral tissue and pathologies associated with maxillary lip and lingual frenulum ties.
