Calico Critters Adventure Tree House

Calico Critters Adventure Tree House

The Calico Critters Adventure Tree House is fun for all ages, but is recommended for three and up.  It helps to develop imagination and creativity.

Fine Motor/Visual Motor: Moving the toy animals to sit, stand, and turn can build problem solving, grasping, and manipulation skills. Manipulating the small picnic set pieces can also build grasping skills.

Gross Motor: Your child can pick up the toy animals as they walk up/down stairs or during an obstacle course.

Sensory: Place the toy animals in a sensory bin full of corn kernels, rice, sand, or beans.

Social: Work on pretend play skills, turn-taking, and joint attention with this fun and engaging toy set.

Articulation/Speech: You can target sounds in words you use while playing with this set, like /s/ blends in “slide” and “swing”.

Language: This tree house set includes toy animals, as well as a toy slide, swing, and a picnic table set. Your child can build skills in requesting, labeling, and commenting as they interact with this great variety of pretend play items. Work on spatial concepts on, top/bottom, up/down, next to, in front/behind, under, and in/out. You can address descriptive concepts like big/small and fast/slow. Work on action words like “slide, swing, climb, jump, run, play, eat, drink”. You can also have your child complete 1-step or multi-step directions as you pretend play together.
