Lego Duplo Read and Build
The Lego Duplo Read and Build is a great toy for development in all areas!
Speech/Articulation: To develop speech and articulation skills, your child imitate words with theLego Duplo Read and Build toy, create sounds of items associated with the toy, and name the animals in the books.
Language: This toy will provide experience with vocabulary, concepts, requesting, following directions, identifying colors, naming body parts, and creating categories (vehicles, animals, etc.) all of which will enhance language development.
Fine Motor/Visual motor: Grasping, bilateral hand use, pinching, visual perception, patterns, and copying will all reinforce fine and visual motor skill development while using the Lego Duplo Read and Build.
Sensory: To incorporate sensory development, place the pieces in a sensory bin for the child to retrieve prior to putting together.
Gross Motor: Have your child imitate motor movements of animals and items within the books to focus on gross motor skills.
