Squigzs are a great for development in all areas!
Speech/Articulation: Children can earn squigz as they imitate new sounds or words, use the ‘pop’ noise to work on /p/ imitations, or create other noises/sounds when popping. You could use the suction of the Squigz to pick up articulation cards face down on a table and read them aloud.
Language: Requesting more, naming colors, and spacial concepts (place them over/under/on top/beside/front/back, etc. of each other or positions on a window/floor) are all ways squigz can enhance language skills. You could also use the suction to pick up picture cards when working on vocabulary or matching, sequencing, and patterns.
Fine Motor/Visual Motor: This toy is great for hand strengthening, grasping, bilateral hand use, and reaching across midline.
Sensory: Squigz are great for sensory development. You could use squigs in the bathtub to encourage water play, place in a sensory bin, use language for auditory stimulation, or tactile exploration with fun bends.
Gross Motor: Place on windows/doors while your child works on postural control, reaching, and sitting; Have the child bend down/squat to pull squig off floor to increase balance and coordination.
