Leg Positioning

In-toeing/Out-toeing: A pediatric Physical Therapist often treats child who present with excessive in-toeing or out-toeing during walking. A Physical Therapist will assess where the rotation is coming from to determine the appropriate treatment course. Children with in-toeing or out-toeing may see a pediatric Physical Therapist due to pain, discomfort, leg weakness, coordination issues or difficulty meeting gross motor milestones.

Bow-Legged/Knock-Kneed: These conditions of the lower leg are a common diagnosis pediatric Physical Therapists may treat. A pediatric Physical Therapist will assess the cause of the postural deviation and determine the best course of treatment. Some children may experience pain or discomfort in the legs, muscle weakness, coordination issues, difficulty with gross motor skills, or poor walking patterns.
