Founder and Owner
Allison Selk
Allison Selk is the founder and owner of Tri-County Therapy, where she leads the vision, operations, and continued growth of the practice while supporting both her team and the families they serve. A licensed pediatric speech-language pathologist by training, Allison brings over 15 years of experience in the field and a deep commitment to high-quality, family-centered care.
While Allison is no longer providing direct therapy services, she remains actively involved behind the scenes—overseeing clinical standards, mentoring her team, and ensuring that every family who walks through the doors of Tri-County Therapy receives thoughtful, compassionate support.
Allison earned her undergraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Columbia College and her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of South Carolina. She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), the South Carolina Speech and Hearing Association (SCSHA), and is licensed in the state of South Carolina.
In addition to leading Tri-County Therapy, Allison is actively involved in her professional and local community. She serves on the board of Clap Your Hands, a local nonprofit that provides weighted therapy materials to children in need. She also serves on the South Carolina Speech and Hearing Association’s Committee on Healthcare Policies and Economics, contributing to advocacy and policy efforts that impact therapy services across the state.
Allison’s work is also deeply personal. As a mother of four boys—two of whom are on the autism spectrum—she understands firsthand the challenges families face when navigating services, supports, and advocacy. This perspective continues to shape the mission and values of Tri-County Therapy.
She is passionate about early intervention, empowering families, and building a team that is not only highly skilled, but genuinely compassionate.
Outside of work, Allison enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
