Lead Occupational Therapist
Mackenzee grew up in Upstate New York where she received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ithaca College. She has always had a love for pediatrics and knew that she wanted a career where she could help foster the minds and skills of young ones; Occupational Therapy was a perfect fit for her personally and professionally! Following graduating in 2016, she worked for a year in a public school district in New York and volunteered in Hippotherapy before moving South in 2017. She continued in pediatrics once in South Carolina working in Early Intervention, an outpatient setting, as well as an acute inpatient facility for children with Autism. Mackenzee loves being able to address the family as a unit in pediatrics and providing parents with the tools and confidence they need for success at home and in the community. Her particular interests include sensory processing, motor planning, and sensory-based feeding. She is always eager to complete continuing education courses to expand her knowledge and stay update with the newest theories and strategies!
When not working, Mackenzee enjoys spending time with her dogs (Tilly and Kimber), tending to her house plants, exploring new coffee shops and restaurants with friends, and crafting.
