A 2-day, live presentation focusing on Tongue Tie and Oral Motor Dysfunction: Techniques for Speech and Occupational Therapists
This presentation demonstrates understanding of poor tongue function associated with tethered oral tissue and pathologies associated with maxillary lip and lingual frenulum ties and the resulting impact upon feeding skills and success.

Tri-County Therapy has been approved as an AOTA Single Course Provider and is authorized to offer:

Participants are expected to attend the course for the entire length of each day, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM for both days in order to receive their Certificate of Attendance and their full CEU credits. Participants will miss crucial information needed to be able to correctly use techniques taught in this course if they come late or leave the course early. Please make all travel arrangements to ensure you do not arrive late or need to leave early on any day.
CEUs: Certificates of Attendance will be given out at the end of Day 2 for 1.3 CEUs. Signing in is required in the AM and PM of each day.
Instructional Methods: Lecture, case study, videos, hands-on demonstration, and discussion. Lecture allows for teaching of new material. Case studies and videos of evaluations/assessments and interventions will assist with the understanding of the material and practical application. Hands-on demonstration (with partners, dolls, and/or actual clients if accessible at time of the course) will allow for immediate application of skills being learned. Discussion will be used to allow learners to ask question and problem-solve difficult feeding clients they may have encountered.
Cancellation Policy: It is the policy of Tri-County Therapy, that in the unlikely event that Tri-County Therapy needs to cancel this event, the provider will attempt to reschedule the event. If the event is unable to be rescheduled, the provider will refund all tuition fees paid. Costs incurred for non-refundable travel arrangements or other related individual expenses will not be refunded. It is the policy of Tri-County Therapy, that in the learner needs to cancel, that requests for cancellations must be received in writing to https://tricountytherapy.com/contact-us/ no later than July 8, 2019 to receive a refund minus a $50. processing fee. If written cancellation is received July 9, 2019 or later, a credit voucher for a future seminar sponsored by Tri-County Therapy will be issued. Returned checks will be charged a $35.00 fee. If a person does not make a written request or does not show up for the conference, no credit or refund will be granted.
This course will be held at Tri-County Therapy’s office location in Ladson, which is a brand-new facility that will provide an optimal educational environment. The building is ADA accessible and has a large television screen and a microphone system so that the instructor’s presentation can be clearly seen and heard by all in attendance. The learners will also have access to appropriate chairs and tables for optimal learning and accessible restrooms. There are 2 breaks and 1 lunch break provided each day to allow for sensory movement breaks.
